Director Lucile Hadzihalilovic takes us behind the scenes of The Ice Tower, her latest fantasy drama starring Marion Cotillard, which premiered at the Berlinale and won the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution. ✨

Set in the 1970s, the film follows an enigmatic actress portraying The Snow Queen on set while a runaway orphan becomes entranced by her presence. Lucile Hadzihalilovic, known for her dreamlike storytelling, also discusses working with cinematographer Jonathan Ricquebourg to craft the film’s mesmerizing visuals.
