In this interview, Alain Gomis reflects on Dao as a film shaped by movement, a circular journey where past and present, here and elsewhere, constantly intertwine.

From a wedding in France to a commemorative ceremony in Guinea-Bissau, Dao traces the threads of a family navigating joy, loss, and transmission, carried through bodies, gestures, and time.

Now in theatres in France, and coming soon to Germany, the US and Spain.
