Edwy Plenel & Costa-Gavras on 'The Costa-Gavras Century'

Journalist and Mediapart co-founder Edwy Plenel, creator of the documentary series, joins acclaimed filmmaker Costa-Gavras to discuss the series 'The Costa-Gavras Century' and the questions it raises about power, conscience, and the courage to speak out.

Costa-Gavras’s cinema moves with restraint and conviction. Beneath the tension of the thriller, he explores both the heart and the conscience: fear, loyalty, betrayed love, and the pain of those left behind. His ordinary men and women, caught in the machinery of power, waver between silence and courage. His understated camera leaves room for emotion, dignity, and memory.

The series is now available to watch on Arte.tv
